Why do we use black opaque packaging?
Exposing your weed to light or ultraviolet (UV) light is the fastest way to age it as well as the single largest contributor to loss and deterioration of cannabinoids. Clear jars are good for jam, not cannabis. They won’t protect your purchase the way an opaque solid container would. This is the same exact reason beer companies use dark bottles. Here at Cold City Cannabis, we strive to take the extra step to ensure our weed is fresh and top quality, all the way from the cultivation process to the packaging that we use.

I’m not a resident of Alaska and just visiting, can I still shop at Cold City Cannabis?
Yes you can, as long as you are 21 years of age and show a valid ID then you can purchase cannabis from our store.

Where can I consume the goods?
You can consume your purchase privately, it is illegal to consume cannabis publicly in the State of Alaska.

What forms of payment do you accept?
Currently we only accept cash, we have an ATM on site for customers to use.

How much cannabis can I purchase?
Each customer can purchase up to 28.8 grams or 1 ounce per transaction.

Who is Tundra Farms?
Tundra Farms is the name of our sister company that handles all of our cultivation and manufacturing.
